Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from security tools and systems (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Investigate security incidents and potential vulnerabilities, escalating issues to senior team members as needed.
- Support vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and other security audits to identify risks.
- Document and report security incidents and create incident response playbooks.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to improve response strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed across the organization.
- Assist in the implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or similar.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT (internships or projects can count).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of network security principles, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cybersecurity tools.
