Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily operations activities to ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines. In other words, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the profitability of the production facility: (1) Achieving production monthly sales targets set by top management (2) Monthly revision of actual production cost per unit for the different product lines, comparison to standard costing, and taking the needed actions accordingly.(3) Continuously working on optimizing operations to reduce costs and increase profitability. (4) Increasing manufacturing capacity through staff, machines, etc.
  • Fulfilling clients' turnaround times and quality standards.
  • Leading, motivating, and coaching the manufacturing team (e.g.: HSE, Engineering and Maintenance, Production, QC, Warehouse, and Logistics divisions) and ensuring that they are undergoing the necessary development plans.
  • Hiring talents according to the workforce plans and utilization/capacity status.
  • Ensuring all employees follow industry safety rules and machines’ use guidelines.
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management.
  • Making decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
  • Initiating standard operating procedures for manufacturing operations.
  • Maintaining good relationships with different official authorities for job related matters. This includes also remaining updated of the new rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Implementing and enforcing quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent is a must; Master's Degree (preferably an MBA) is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience.
