Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain an efficient data pipeline design.
- Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.
- Put together huge, complicated data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data system.
Qualifications:
- A BCS degree in computer science, data science, Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with a range of databases.
- Strong analysis with unstructured datasets.
- Previous experience assisting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Mysql, Postgres, and Cassandra.
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
